Amber & Dawn have decided to run the Cardiff Half Marathon to raise awareness of carers needs and to celebrate the marathon-like effort carers put in each and everyday.

Amber & Dawn are the volunteer & engagement officers for Carers Wales. Together, alongside an amazing team of volunteers, work in communities across Wales to reach carers so they have the correct information & advice so they are supported in their caring role. 

This half marathon run is their idea as they want to do something that shows their passion for carers and the need to support carers across Wales.

Each and every penny raised will go directly into supporting carers in Wales and making life better for carers. 

Why support Carers Wales?

Latest research suggests that there are 400,000 carers in Wales who provides unpaid support to someone who is older, disabled or has a serious illness.

Carers across Wales provide 96% of care which can vary from a few hours a week to 24/7 support.
