Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am hoping to raise awareness of autism and funds for the National Autism Society through a sponsored silence on the 6th April. I will wear a badge sharing why I am doing this and will use PEC to communicate while I’m at work, to show different ways of communicating. I will also be sharing facts and ways to help through out the autism awareness week and hope you will join in too 1 - 7 April!
I am doing this in support of my youngest son Harry who is autistic, though everyone who is autistic is different, he is non verbal. I want people to understand that autism does not mean there is something wrong with him, it just means he is different, and I want to show people they can still communicate with people they can’t understand. Autistic people still have feelings, are still funny, are still loving and still have hopes and dreams.
