Story

Vun Lim saddly lost her life due to critical injury after a fall on Dinas Mot. It is with great thanks that LLanberis MRT completed a difficult rescue immediately conveying her to hospital.

Vun was an exceptionally keen climber who it would be fair to say sought as many keen members as she could to partner up with from the ‘Vags’. A consultant in rheumatology and with it work demands on free time and her own life with husband Ian meant she could not frequent weekend hut or other meets as she would have liked to but she made up for that with hard trad day trips with so many of us. Those of us will have our own stories to tell , which will include her enthusiasm for life, her energy and subtle sense of humour. Our thoughts with Ian and her family in Malaysia.

Weve set up this page in order to express how much of a loss Vun has been to us all as a community of friends.

Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team (MRT) is one of the busiest in the UK with an annual callout rate of over 220 incidents. Based in and around the Snowdon area the team is made up of about 50 volunteers from all walks of life who are all experienced mountaineers. As a registered charity they rely entirely on donations.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
