As those who know me closely know I am definitely no runner. However after watching my best friend run it this year and supporting all the other athletes it gave me inspiration to consider it myself. Fast track to January 2019, after a couple of drinks I decided to pluck up the courage and sign up for a one way ticket into the marathon. Up to this point the fastest I had ran was to the local shop for some emergency nappies for the baby.

However, I would like to make my daughter and fiance proud and do something completely out of my comfort zone and complete the marathon.

With three months to train from non runner to half marathon I've cut it fine. But, I'm up for the fight! 

The children's hospital have been fantastic with my daughter and I would love to raise them some money to just give a little something back, to know I can help in some way.

I hope to make my daughter proud of my achievement and can't wait to see her and family and friends faces cheering me on. 

I am definitely one to play up to the crowd but this is going to be unchartered territory! 

I hope to do you and myself proud and make that finish line. Thank you to anyone who donates, I really appreciate it and gives me that added motivation to keep running, practising and getting out no matter how cold or dark or wet it is!
