Resolution Run London 2019 · 10 March 2019 ·
Our father, Rajesh Vyas, suffered a haemorrhagic stroke on 4th September 2017.
Our lives were turned upside down that day. We didn’t know if he’d survive, and if he did, whether he’d be able to speak or walk again.
Fast forward to today, after a 4 month stay in hospital and even more months of rehabilitation therapy, our dad has regained his voice and is up and about again.
To celebrate his incredible progress, our mum's unwavering support for him, and all the wonderful people who cared for him and helped us all along the way, our dad will be walking 5km on 2nd June 2019, accompanied by our mum, Shashi. It's a milestone we never imagined we'd reach.
We'll also be getting stuck in: Jay will be running 5km, Nikita will be running 10km and Keval will be running 15km.
The Stroke Association provided us with information, help and support during the darkest moments of our lives and we’d like to raise as much money as we can to help them continue to support other families affected by stroke.
£5 could help 15 people begin to come to terms with stroke with crucial factsheets.
£20 could support the Stroke Helpline in giving advice to people struggling to cope.
£50 could help The Stroke Association continue to invest in vital research to help save lives and improve the lives of stroke survivors.
