Story

We are planning to take on the Wacky rally challenge. Driving from the UK to Barcelona, Spain. We will be starting at Lille in Northern France and will then drive down through 9 countries. including the Grand St Bernard pass and then onto Barcelona. The rally should take 4 days and in that time we will need to drive 1,500 miles in an 18 year old Toyota Celica. We have painted the car in 8 different colours in a crazy design. We will be doing the rally along with another 50 plus cars with like minded people. They will also have their own crazy designs. At the finish we will all be driving in convoy into the heart of Barcelona. We are a father & daughter team and also best mates.. We are hoping to raise lots of money along the way for hard working people who are trying on a daily basis to make a difference to the children of Ashmount special school in Loughborough. Where each child has their own unique character and where the teachers and volunteers are helping these children to gain a better quality of life. We are hoping to raise money to help with funding towards new equipment for the children at Ashmount school. Thank you all for your donations.

The Concept behind Wacky Rally

Essentially a banger rally is a collection of vehicles that have been purchased or otherwise obtained through various ingenious methods, and then personalised in a variety of glorious and imaginative ways. Ideas range from the Bat Mobile, animals of various denominations, and pirate ships to hippy cars, tanks, and crazy paint jobs.

However, that is the nuts and bolts; doing up the car is incredibly fun but driving it across Europe is where the real fun begins. The shared challenge, the camaraderie and the memorable stories are what make the wacky rally, Europe's favourite car rally, a trip you'll remember for the rest of your life.

Rarely will you experience the freedom and "Devil may care" attitude that comes part and parcel of the rally, couple this with some of Europe's most stunning scenery and you have something special
