Wadars is a Worthing (UK) based Charity established in 1969. The main objectives of the Charity are the rescue and rehabilitation of wildlife and the rescue and rehoming of domestic animals. We rely solely on Donations, Legacies and Fundraising to keep us running.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

WADARS is our local animal rescue charity. They have been doing amazing work since 1969 providing care and protection for animals of all kinds.
Next month we are  riding 1300 miles to raise money to help them build their first ever dog adoption centre. Having the animals on-site will significantly reduce their costs and make it so much easier for potential adopters to see the lovely doggies.

Why this, why us?
I could say i wanted a big challenge for my 50th year; I could say my son needed a fitness challenge for his Duke of Edinburgh award; Both are true. No, the main reason is that we have been blessed with two fabulous dogs, Bella, and Sammy, that without WADARS would never have brightened our lives. The team do so much with so little that we wanted to find a way to help them out.

So, two days after his last GCSE Aaron and I leave from their HQ in Hangleton lane, Ferring for Land’s End and the start of this 1300 mile Father and Son journey.

I am surprised and delighted that he has agreed to ride with his old dad. Not sure he’s quite so excited. He must really love animals!

Finally we would love you to follow us on Twitter @WADARSPedal, and on Facebook at WADARS

We will posting before and during the ride so you can be sure you getting your money’s worth!

Thank you so much for your donation
