Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

In September 2019 I'm going to be cycling coast to coast across the UK - 136 miles - from Whitehaven to Sunderland. (Some of the finer details are still be sorted out next month, but probably it'll be over 3 days, assisted by my father in law.)

I'm going to be supporting the MS Society who do a great job supporting people and carrying out research into this debilitating disease.

One of my friends is currently in the process of being diagnosed with what appears reasonably likely to be MS. It may not be, it may be something else, but as a result I've tried to learn a bit more about MS and what it means to be diagnosed and live with it.

From my point of view, I wanted a challenge that I'd need to train and work for. I couldn't cycle that distance now (yet). I know that I benefit from exercise but I can't just do pointless exercise without a goal in mind. I've started training and I'm really excited about it.

I've started a blog to keep you regularly updated with my progress: https://wagglesdoesthec2c.wordpress.com
