Story
Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Baraqatuhu. Jazak'Allah Khair for taking the time to visit my page. In sha Allah I will be running 150km during Ramadan while fasting. This will be a personal goal and challenge in terms of fitness but will be great motivation to raise funds for a wonderful cause. I hope by doing this additional challenge I will be able to receive more donations/sponsorship.
My target is to run everyday in Ramadan to achieve my 150km target. I can do this by running 5km every day. Whether Ramadan is 29 or 30 days I will be do my best to cover this target or run more on certain days. I will attempt to do this while refraining from food and water (from dawn to sunset). I'll be completing my runs just before sunset - at my weakest from a full fasted day, including my daily duties e.g. after work.
I choose to run, but the children of war have no choice. These children run/walk long miles for their food and water or are forced to work to provide for their families. The children of war also RUN due to the dangers of war, destruction, violence, and exploitation - fleeing their homes and rebuilding their lives, every single day. Some of these children are separated from their family members - parents, siblings, and some may even be stranded orphans. I hope with your help we can make the children of war lives a bit easier, more fun, enjoyable, and a much happier and safer life. We can change the fate of these children and build a positive future for them TOGETHER.
The cause: I will also be taking part in the Walk For Children of War event (5km walk) and raising funds to help the children of war rebuild their lives (Syria, Yemen, Rohingya, Afghanistan or Kashmir). As we witness on a daily basis, children around the world are struggling to live, not knowing when or if they will receive their next meal. Our aim, therefore, is to provide these children with food, water and other necessities. Please support them by sharing my page and donating as much as you can.
How your donations will help:
- £25 will provide enough food to feed a family, on the brink of survival in Syria, Yemen, Rohingya, Afghanistan or Kashmir, for one week
- £50 will provide enough food to feed a family, on the brink of survival in Syria, Yemen, Rohingya, Afghanistan or Kashmir, for two weeks
- £100 will provide enough food to feed a family, on the brink of survival in Syria, Yemen, Rohingya, Afghanistan or Kashmir, for one month.Thank you for your support :)
