Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The Neonatal Unit at Worcestershire Royal Hospital accept babies from 28 weeks gestation and above. Babies are cared for in the neonatal unit if they require intensive or high dependency care.

The unit is staffed by doctors, specialist nurses including neonatal and children's nurses, midwives, nursery nurses and health care assistants. They are all there to support parents and their babies during their stay on the unit.

The length of time a baby will spend on the unit could be anything from a few days to a few months. They always keep parents informed of their baby's progress and encourage you to help with all aspects of their baby's care.

Their aim is to deliver family centred care and encourage parents to be involved in all aspects of their baby’s care during their stay on the Neonatal Unit.

Our appeal aims to raise money to ensure the Unit is equipped with the latest pioneering medical equipment to help save lives and support the excellent care provided by the clinical teams at the unit.
