The money raised through donations will be used in
the following ways:
£3 could pay for 5 Dementia Guides. There is no dementia pathway once a diagnosis has been given. That's why The Dementia Guide is such a lifeline. It is packed with advice on how to live as well as possible with dementia, and how someone's family, friends, and carers can plan for the future. £3 brings 5 Guides to people trying to make sense of a diagnosis of dementia.
£5 could allow 31 people to access Talking Point any time, day or night. Talking Point is Alzheimer's Society's online forum where trouble shared can become trouble halved. People accessing Talking Point can learn from each other's experiences share their frustrations and their knowledge of local services. £5 allows 31 people to access Talking Point.
£9.90 could allow one person to get vital support from expert telephone Dementia Advisors via Alzheimer's Society's Telephone Support Line. Alzheimer's Society's Dementia Connect Telephone Support Line, 03331503456, is open seven days a week and it is there for anyone who needs immediate personalised information and dementia support from trained Dementia Advisers. £9.90 could allow one person to call the support line.
Or
£10 could provide a lab with 62 essential microscope slides.
