Walk/Run The Length Of Nepal · 18 April 2020

The One Health Foundation is an international organisation run by veterinary surgeons with the primary purpose of advancing veterinary and One Health education.

Story

Initially, I was supposed to be running the London Marathon on the 26th of April to help fundraise for The One Health Foundation but sadly due to the COVID-19 outbreak it's been postponed until the 4th of October.

With so much uncertainty around travel at the moment, there are currently no planned practical training courses on the ground in Nepal however it does present The One Health Foundation with an opportunity to develop it's online teaching platform so that even in times like this, the charity can still provide distance learning for undergraduate and practicing veterinarians, medical professionals and other groups working in animal and human health.

Over the next 50 days, starting from Sunday 19th April, utilizing my 1 hour of outdoor exercise and my treadmill at home, I plan to walk/run the length of Nepal, 885km to fundraise for The One Health Foundation.

It's important that preparation for the practical courses and development of the online courses continues but none of this is possible without fundraising.

appreciate not everyone will have the same financial resources as the world battles this pandemic but if you have anything to spare and support our cause of helping improve animal welfare in Nepal, we'd really appreciate anything you can donate.

For those of you who have sponsored me for The London Marathon, hopefully, that will still go ahead on October 4th however if that does get postponed again or cancelled, Just Giving will be in touch with you to offer you a full refund.
