So what is a Zombie Run and why are we doing it?

Well the run is like various other sponsored runs but this one has a twist or two. It is 5km long, nothing new there but it also contains 12 (unknown) obstacles and hordes of volunteers dressed as zombies chasing the participants.... the aim is to get round without the Zombies stealing one of three lives attached to your belt....the ultimate goal, however, is to get sponsorship and raise as much money as possible for Barnsley Hospital.

 

In addition: For years we have been training for the Zombie apocalypse and when this training course came up we thought we had better take part.

- £50 could buy bereavement boxes to help support relatives at highly difficult times

- £2500 could buy specialist speech aids that allow tracheotomy patients to communicate
- £6500 could buy unique phototherapy equipment for our premature babies
