I recently had to walk away from a job offer due to many reasons. One of the main being, that when I mentioned about my stammer, I was ignored several times! I hadn’t encountered this before and was shocked!

After this I realised that even if many people know the word ‘stammer’, very few of those actually understand it. I have lived with a stammer since the age of 7 and now that I have been going to interviews looking for work, I wanted to spread awareness more publicly about what a stammer is and how to approach it.

I decided to contact Action for Stammering Children to see if they could help me broadcast it to more people. I have started my video series now but during the week of 22nd October I will be doing a 15 mile walk for charity to raise as much money as I can for them!
