Story
I'm a long time NSPCC employee and I truly believe in our work. It is critical that we are able to continue our work and fight for every childhood. It's important that we continue to raise funds and this is my chance to support the organisation, even in a small way.
Originally I said I'd be taking part in the walk [run] for children on the 21st of December. My two 'children' who are both university students will be running along with me. But, we've now recruited my husband to go with us. As he just had a partial knee replacement in July, we'll be walking the 5km together as a family.
About the NSPCC: The NSPCC is the leading children's charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. We help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find the best ways of preventing abuse from ever happening. Every child deserves the best possible chance to rebuild their life after abuse. That’s why we’re here. That's what drives all our work. And that’s why – as long as there’s abuse – we will fight for every childhood.
UPDATE: We have successfully completed our 5km walk and had a lovely time. Thanks so much to everyone who supported us and helped us reach our target!
