Sands is a charity close to the heart of a couple of members of the SI team. My own family has experienced tragedy not once but twice. My sister Alanna gave birth to Benjamin, stillborn in July 2014, whist in February 2015, his brother Harry was born far too soon and sadly passed away just 45 minutes later. 

Darren too will be walking for his partner Melanie's niece, Sophie, who was sadly stillborn in December 2017.
