London Bridges Walk to Cure Diabetes 2013 · 29 September 2013 ·
Leon was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was 11 months old. To put it simply, he had an infection and his pancreas stopped working. He was in hospital for 3 days with hyperglycemia and has been back to hospital a few times in the past 3 years and had a lot of doctor's appointments. We test Leon's blood glucose at least 6 times a day with a finger prick test and inject at least 4 insulin doses a day. He needs his medical kit on him and a trained superviser at all times to monitor his levels. He will have diabetes for life unless a cure is found. It would be great if you can make a small donation to support us on our walk on Sunday. We really appreciate anything you can give!
