St Richard's Hospice Foundation - Worcestershire Way Walk · 22 June 2012 ·

St Richard’s Hospice is an independent charity offering free, expert care for adults with an illness that cannot be cured, and support for their loved ones and carers. Each year the hospice team supports more than 3,100 patients, family members and bereaved people in Worcestershire.

Story

Stuart was the most kind and generous person you could meet.  I was very lucky that he was my brother and he always looked after me.  There's not much you can do to ease the pain of losing someone so close to you but a physical challenge to raise money for charity is a good emotional focus.

Stuart's wife, Trudy, asked me to do this Worcestershire Way walk in April.  I didn't hesitate to say yes.  Since then, I completed this hilly, rural walk with my brilliant friend Val, over a very wet and muddy weekend.  It was no mean feat over the 2 days and I only finished it due to Val's encouragement.  Despite my fear of what lies ahead, I am absolutely determined to complete this 31 mile challenge from Bewdley to Malvern in a single day, starting at 6am on Friday and is likely to take 16 hours to complete.

If you can spare any cash to donate to the hospice, I would be immensely grateful and I know how much it would be appreciated by all those that need the care St. Richard's Hospice give.  Thank you xx
