London to Brighton Walk · 6 November 2021

Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

I will be walking as far as possible between London to Brighton for MNDA, in loving memory of Steph’s Mum, Kathy Wiggins, who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease last year and is sadly no longer with us.

MND is currently and very sadly a death sentence. One diagnosed most will lose the ability to walk, use their arms and hands, speak, eat and ultimately breathe. Most will become completely paralysed and trapped in their own bodies.

However, research has now reached a point where a cure or life-saving treatments are moments from being found.

This is why it is so crucial to raise as much money as possible and help to fund the cure.
