Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As part of team 'The walkie talkers', alongside the lovely Lucie Titchmarsh and Anna Burfield, we will be walking 100km, come rain or shine, from London to Brighton on May 23rd 2015!

Please give what you can to keep those feet a-marching! Here's why we're doing what we're doing:

As many of you will know, Grace's mum passed away from lung cancer in June 2014. The centre which provided treatment, information and support for Ginny and Grace's family needs vital funds in order to continue their work in the battle against cancer.

We (Verity and Grace) are raising money for Woolverstone Wish, a charity which is transforming cancer services available for patients and their families at Ipswich hospital.

Woolverstone Wish joined forces with Macmillan Cancer Support - becoming the Macmillan Woolverstone Wish Fundraising Group - to help raise a further £3.7million to build the new Woolverstone Macmillan Centre - an innovative new Cancer Treatment Centre at Ipswich Hospital which would transform cancer care locally.

The Woolverstone Macmillan Centre, due to open in 2016, will bring together outpatient chemotherapy, oncology and haematology day services. The new, spacious centre will improve the privacy and dignity of patients during their treatment and enable loved ones to remain with patients during treatment, which currently cannot always happen. Designed by experts in developing cancer centres, staff and people affected by cancer, the centre will provide a holistic service in as calm and non-clinical an environment as possible.

So please, dig deep and make all the blisters worth while! xx
