SANE is a leading national mental health charity set up in 1986 and is independent of government. SANE aims to improve the quality of life of people affected by mental illness. It also provide support, information and guidance through its helpline, SANEline, Caller Care, Textcare and Online Forum.

Story

From March 1 next year I will be walking from Land’s End to John o’Groats. I’ll be raising funds for two mental health charities .. Black Dog Institute in Australia and SANE’s Black Dog Campaign in UK.

They’re both fantastic charities who are involved not only in research and support but also in raising awareness of mental health and cracking wide open the taboo that’s associated with it.

The walk is a 2000km journey which will take me along the coast, through the heart of England, along the backbone of England, over Hadrian’s Wall to bonny Scotland to the tip of the country. You can read more about me here: http://www.julesforth.com/walkingtheblackdog/
