St Ethelburga's, rebuilt after destruction by an IRA bomb, now aims "help people build relationships across division of conflict, culture and religion" It's a unique safe place for new conversations about difference and disagreement

Story

We have walked 3,650 miles from London to Jerusalem to raise money for four charities which are each involved in important reconciliation and peace work, bringing together people from different faiths in conflict areas and helping them to resolve the causes of these conflitcs. The four charities are:

The Encompass Trust
http://www.encompasstrust.org/

St Ethelburga's Centre for Reconciliation and Peace
http://www.stethelburgas.org/

Neve Shalom Wahat al Salam
http://www.nswas.org/

The Mar Elias Educational Institutions
http://www.m-e-c.org/

Anything that you can give would be much appreciated and will go direct towards the work of these charities. All donations will be split equally between the four charities. Please dig deep and sponsor us online!

We arrived in Jerusalem, through the Jaffa gate at 7:45pm on Tuesday 18th July, completing a 3,650 mile journey over 8.5 months through 10 countries (and wearing out 4 pairs of boots). To read all about it, got to:

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your kind support.
