Carers do incredible things looking after people they love in sometimes very challenging and complex circumstances. 

Carers are everyday people like you and me.

A Carer may be a parent caring for young or teenage child with a disability like Autism, Cerebral Palsy, intellectual impairment or Down Syndrome.

Carers may be older parents whose grown children need constant care and support.  

A Carer could be a husband or wife caring for their partner who may have a disability like MS, a chronic illness, or mental health condition.

Young Carers are children/teenagers caring for a parent or family member who may have a chronic illness, disability or is frail aged. 

Carers are everyday Australians, doing what we all hope that we would do in their circumstances - taking care of those that we love. Carers need support, and Carers Queensland provides that.
