Story

Liam’s Fund

Liam Baldry was an inspirational young man who although battling cancer throughout his life, managed to raise £1,000’s for charity, in particular for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Liam was a big part of the Rights and Participation Project, (RAPP) and the Freedom Road Creative Arts', young people’s training team, supporting the projects to deliver training to 100’s of professionals over a seven year period.

In March 2012 Liam aged 24, lost his brave battle with Cancer; however the staff and young people at RAPP and Freedom Road Creative Arts in partnership with Liam’s family wish to carry on Liam’s legacy and continue to raise money through Liam’s Fund for the Teenage Cancer Trust who supported Liam for many years.

To launch Liam’s Fund, staff and young people of RAPP and FRCA are to walk the Coast to Coast walk from St Bee’s to Robin Hoods Bay, a total of 220 miles from May 4 2012.

Please sponsor us to ensure Liam’s memory remains as strong as Liam’s fight against Cancer and his fundraising legacy to raise money for others lives on. All money raised will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust via Freedom Road Creative Arts.
