💙We Are Walking 100 Miles for Teenage Cancer Trust — In Loving Memory of Our Son & Brother, Tylor Williams💙
This October, we are walking 100 miles for Teenage Cancer Trust, in honour of our beautiful boy, our son and brother Tylor Williams.
There isn’t a day that goes by where we don’t miss him. He was the strongest person we’ve ever known, and this walk is our way of carrying his strength forward
💙 Tylor’s Story
A month before his 21st birthday, our world changed. Tylor began finding small lumps across his body and suffering night sweats he blamed on the summer heat. We went back and forth to GPs and hospitals, searching for answers, being passed around, feeling helpless — but deep down, we knew something wasn’t right.
After Blood results, scans and biopsies Tylor was referred straight to the Teenage Cancer Trust ward, and for the first time, everything was explained properly. The scans, the biopsies, the urgency, the treatment plan. They told us the words no family ever wants to hear: T‑cell non‑Hodgkin lymphoblastic lymphoma 💔
A rare, aggressive blood cancer already spreading through his lymphatic system
From that moment, Tylor went into battle.
💛 His Fight — Head On, Every Single Time
His treatment plan was three years of intense chemotherapy — three times a week, every week. He didn’t hesitate. He didn’t complain. He took everything head on, even when the side effects were brutal.
After months of fighting, he got the all clear.
But then a rash appeared.
The cancer was back.
He fought again And again And again.
Tylor went into remission three times, each time rebuilding himself from nothing, each time refusing to give up. We watched him endure more than anyone should ever have to, and he still found ways to laugh, to joke, to be himself.
💙 His Words — The Truth He Finally Shared
When Tylor finally opened up about his cancer, he told us how deeply it had changed his life — from working a job he loved and becoming independent, to becoming, in his own words, “a crippled cancer patient.”
Treatment didn’t just destroy the cancer — it destroyed every cell in his body. Any small illness meant a week in hospital. His chemo routine kept him there 4–5 days a week, hooked up to medication he hoped would save him.
But the cancer spread into his bone marrow He developed acute lymphatic leukaemia and It began moving toward his brain.
After a year and a half of battling, he received his terminal diagnosis 10 days before his 22nd birthday.
On December 1st, 2024, after battling since September 2023, our beautiful boy passed away.
He asked us to remember him for who he was — not what cancer turned him into, he told us to live our lives to the fullest and do all the things he couldn't do.
And we do. Every single day 😢
But we miss him so so much!
💙Who He Was — And Who He’ll Always Be💙
Tylor was funny, loving, Handsome, strong and brilliant.
He was a son, a brother, a friend and the best dog dad. He was our world.
We miss him more than words will ever explain. There is an ache in our family that will never go away, but we are so so proud of how he handled everything. The rock that kept us together. Always thinking of everyone else 😢
💙 Teenage Cancer Trust — The People Who Held Us Together
Teenage Cancer Trust supported Tylor from the moment he stepped onto their ward. They explained everything clearly, treated him with dignity, and gave him a space where he could still feel like himself. He loved playing pool there. Their staff became family — to him, and to us.
We could not have done any of this without them.
💛 Why We Walk — And Why We Ask for Your Support
After losing Tylor, our world fell apart. We took time away to grieve, to breathe, to survive. Eventually, we started our dog walking business — something Tylor would have absolutely loved. He would have been out with us every day. And Nala, his dog, still comes with us daily, keeping him close 🥰
So this October, we walk 100 miles with our dogs, with our memories, with our heartbreak, and with our hope.
We walk for Tylor💙
We walk because we miss him.
We walk for every young person facing cancer.
We walk for the charity that held us together when we were breaking.
If you can donate — even a small amount — you will help Teenage Cancer Trust continue supporting families like ours, and young people like Tylor, through the hardest battles of their lives.
Thank you for reading his story. Thank you for remembering him. Thank you for walking this journey with us.
💛💙
Every day, seven young people aged 13-24 hear the words you have cancer. They will each need specialised nursing care and support to get them through it. Teenage Cancer Trust are the only charity in the UK dedicated to meeting this vital need so no young person faces cancer alone.
Every £25 donation provides an hour to talk. A Youth Support Coordinator provides the extra help young people need with things like studies, relationships and mental wellbeing throughout cancer treatment. £25 could pay for an hour of their time, helping them be there when they're needed most.
