Story

RUTH AND TINA'S WALK TO CORNWALL 2007

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. We are planning to walk from Cuckfield in Sussex to Newlyn in Cornwall in stages during the course of this Spring and Summer, a distance of over 300 miles.  We plan to walk on footpaths, roads and lanes and to take the occasional ferry where necessary as our walking on water skills are not finely honed!  We hope that we can persuade lots of people to sponsor us in aid of Save Canterbury Cathedral.

Canterbury Cathedral is a very powerful symbol of Christianity, as the home of the Anglican Communion worldwide.  It is a vital part of our cultural heritage and an historic national treasure.  It would be an unimaginable disaster if this marvellous building were lost to us, and there is now a very real danger that this may happen.  To preserve Canterbury Cathedral for future generations requires £50 million!  So anything we can do will help.  Please dig as deep as you can and support us in our Walk for Canterbury.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Save Canterbury Cathedral will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
