Story
Freya and Mia are two 8 year old girls i look after. they have decided that they want to raise money for wheatfields hospice in memory of there grandma and grandad.
just out of the blue last week Freya said i want to do something for charity for my grandma.this pulled on my heart strings as it would anyone so we decided to do the walk to remember. we have sat down all three off us and planned how they want to do it, how much they want to raise and how many laps.
Freya's grandma sadly passed away in February this year with cancer. it was a massive shock to her and all her family. she was very much loved by all her family and friends. Freya misses her grandma so much and by doing this means we are always remembering her every day. we often talk about her and reminisce the fun days at the caravan she had with grandma.
Mia is doing this in memory if her grandad. he also sadly passed away with cancer. she was a toddler but does have some memories of him. staying for the weekend in hull with nanna and grandad. having fun riding round on his mobility scooter. and been spoilt rotten.
we have decided to do 20 laps of yeadon tarn and roughly it works out around 15 miles. we will be doing this on Saturday the 12th of September around 9am there will be raffle prizes and cakes for sale before and after.
if anyone wishes to join us on any laps or just support the girls all we ask is for a donation. wheatfields is special to me also as i have seen how amazing all the staff are and im sure im not on my own with this. so all please if you can donate that would be fantastic and get the girls to there target.
many thanks for reading
