Story
My dog Bernard and I are walking the 79 miles of the Wolds Way in aid of Dove House Hospice, a wonderful charity which provides specialist care to patients suffering with terminal illnesses in Hull and the East Riding.
Sadly, due to the social distancing measures required to prevent the spread of coronavirus, Dove House has had to close their charity shops, and is currently set to lose over £13,000 a day - £400,000 a month - in vital funding. As a result, the hospice may not be able to help many local families and their vital services will be reduced.
More than ever, Dove House and the people they care for rely on the generosity of the public during these difficult and unprecedented times. If you can, please donate to Dove House Hospice via mine and Bernard's JustGiving page. Anything you can give will be most gratefully received and put to a worthy cause.
Many thanks,
Walter
