We provide disabled adults the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful countryside from the leisurely pace of a horse drawn carriage. We are affiliated with Riding for the Disabled but operate as an independent charity. Our volunteer team work hard to raise the £15000 per year running costs.

Story

Wansdyke Carriage Driving Group, part of the RDA, is a carriage driving group who take disabled people. some of whom are in wheelchairs, driving in the countryside every week. These Disabled Whips are suffering from a variety of illnesses or are disabled as a result of accidents including riding and motor accidents. The group also regularly takes people from Help for Heroes who are learning to cope with prosthetics and Post Traumatic Stress Disorders as a result of their war activities.

We are hoping to purchase a new horse to replace an elderly one, and a carriage, and Andy Clark has very kindly offered to host this event which marks his retirement as Chairman of Warwick Racecourse.
