I've accepted a placement working as a Project Advisor with Basic Needs (www.basicneeds.org) in Sri Lanka.  I'll be working with Basic Needs and their partner organisations to improve project management processes so they can provide community based mental health support.  My departure date is tentatively 26th March, so I'm off to a few VSO training sessions over the next month - hopefully they'll help me work out how and what I'll actually be doing in Sri Lanka!

The more contact I have with VSO, the more I can understand how it costs them £15k per year to place a volunteer, so I've decided to try and raise a bit of money towards that cost - hopefully you can help me out!
