I have visited Senegal with Human Appeal and witnessed how in some rural areassuch as Kossie village people live without access to safe, clean water. Theyalso live without adequate sanitation. 

The people in the village must choose between drinking, cooking and washing withdirty, contaminated water or no water at all. They are at constant risk ofcontracting waterborne diseases like dysentery, diarrhoea and cholera, whichcan be fatal. I have witnessed a child sharing all the clean water we haveprovided him with other children and when he has ran out of water for himself,he poured drop of water to his hand and licked it. That really broke myheart. 

Despiteof the fact they live below the poverty line, they welcomed us with open armand were very hospitable. I feel it is my ethical duty with your support toassist them and raise awareness about their daily plight.
