During March and April, we will be taking part in the SJP Charitable Foundation My Virtual Mission, some running and some walking, each travelling 150 miles to raise valuable funds for the charities we support. The total running distance is equivalent to
running from Cape Town to Table Mountain in South Africa, while the walk is from the base of the snow-capped Andes between Bolivia and Peru to Cusco, the historical capital of the Inca empire. Whilst we will be running and walking in the slightly less glamorous Bucks and Beds, we will be visualising the sunny beaches of Cape Town and the ancient Inca temples to keep us going! Given the impact of the recent lockdowns, our legs are definitely going to be a bit rusty, but we’re looking forward to challenging ourselves physically and perhaps dropping some of those lockdown pounds ...  St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation has been supporting those in need since 1992, making a positive and lasting difference to people’s lives by awarding grants to charities registered in the UK to assist them in the incredible work they do every day. So far, we’ve raised and distributed over £100 million to thousands of charities. As we all know, the pandemic is touching every aspect of our lives and for the charity sector it has had an enormous impact. With your support the Foundation will be able to continue to respond quickly and enable charities to adapt and continue their valuable support services. It really does make a difference and is a lifeline to many charities. All net proceeds from My Virtual Mission will go towards the St. James's Place Charitable Foundation and will be matched pound for pound.
