London Marathon 2019 · 28 April 2019 ·
In April, I am proud to be running the Virgin London Marathon to raise money for Brain Tumour Research.
I am fundraising in memory of my Uncle John; who sadly passed away in 2016, following a 15-month battle with an aggressive Glioblastoma.
From watching my Uncle's fight against the illness, I was struck by how quickly he transformed from being a fit and healthy man with no prior symptoms, to requiring urgent and life-threatening surgery followed by months of chemo- and radiotherapy.
Before Uncle John died, I promised to raise money in his honour to help find new treatments and cures for all types of brain tumour.
Following multiple unsuccessful applications to run the marathon, I am thrilled to finally have the opportunity to do him proud; any contribution you are able to make in support of this would mean the world to me.
Thanks for reading my page and for your kind donations.
