The Wave Project is an award winning Charity currently operating in N.Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales who deliver Surf therapy courses to vulnerable children and youth struggling with their mental wellbeing. This is done through a combination of surfing and mentoring. Courses are evidence based and proven to help improve the wellbeing, confidence and overall emotional resilience of participants. 

A group of our amazing committed Wave Project mentors and supporters will be pushing their limitations, running a 10k distance around Portrush on Saturday 25th July.  With the cancellation of Belfast City Marathon relay event, we are taking the opportunity to do our own challenge, with a longer distance than most signed up for!

Given the current Covid pandemic, we anticipate an influx of referrals for young people across the Causeway Coast and further afield, who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and isolation. We hope to fundraise to help put more young people through one of our surf-therapy courses, encouraging them to become confident and resilient again.
