Story
The Wave project is a surf therapy charity, which uses surfing to help young people improve their emotional and physical wellbeing.
It may seem ironic raising money for water based charity by skydiving 7,000 feet above sea level, but when choosing a charity we both decided on the Wave Project having volunteered at the Brighton course. We both feel passionate about this cause having been directly involved and seeing first hand the incredible impact this has on the young people of this programme.
We'll be jumping for the Wave Project with GoSkyDive on Friday 30th, April which includes 10 seconds freefall! Although this is something completely out of our comfort zones, knowing that we're helping to raise money for such a brilliant charity is an incredibly motivating factor!
It's a brilliant charity and we've seen first hand how it's transformed a child's life.
Having both a passion for surfing and mental health, this charity creates brilliant opportunities for volunteers and young people to come together in a safe place. Creating an environment to grow in confidence and self esteem.
