The Sparrow Schools Foundation in the UK helps the Sparrow Schools in South Africa to provide education for those who need it most.

Story

For some reason I relish challenge.  The tougher, or the more improbable the challenge, the more adamant I am that I will win.  I can't explain it, it's just how I am wired, I guess my parents must have instilled it into me.  However I choose to take on these relatively short term challenges ...like swimming across the .

Sadly some people in life don't have that choice.  Life is just hard, very hard. Every day.

I have witnessed first hand how life can be tough in Africa, especially for children who in their short lives they have been impacted by the legacy of poverty, crime, unemployment or have lost their parents due to HIV/AIDS.

It is these children that need your help. My help.

For this reason I have decided to swim for Sparrow Schools - an African school providing vocational skills training for vulnerable children and youth with intellectual disabilities.

Simply, Sparrow steps in and empowers these children through education to become valuable members of society, thus ensuring that they can find a job and generate an income.  This enables those children to grow into confident, self sufficient adults and break the shackles of their past.

Please support Sparrow, who in turn will empower these Children on your behalf.

Thank you.

Wayne.
