Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Parkinson's UK is a charity close to my heart as my father-in-law, David,  suffers from this disease.

Working with WE Bridge Academy, I am passionate about making more people aware of the effects this disease has on people, and through Just Giving, want to raise as much money as possible for this great cause.

David has been diagnosed for 14 years but had the symptoms for 17. The treatment is medication in the form of tablets. PD Warrior continual exercise programme really helps his mobility and he notices when he doesn't don’t do it that his symptoms are not as good.

Awareness is crucial for the sufferer because it makes people more tolerant of his posture and speed of doing things and also vital to continue research to find a cure.

It affects his daily routine because it is so unpredictable and makes him not know if he can dress, eat and move unaided. He's one of 145,000 suffering with Parkinson’s in the UK.

On a personal level what sustains him is the support of the most wonderful family in the world.

I truly value your support and appreciate that even the smallest of donations can make a big difference. Thank you!
