Story
Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my JG page. I am attempting to walk 500 miles over 6 weeks from 11 November to 23 December 2021 to raise money (£500 is my initial target) for Felix Fund - The Bomb Disposal Charity. This averages out at approx 12 miles per day for 6 weeks and you can follow my progress below on my daily strava uploads and photos.
In leaving the British Army after 27 years service, I find myself wanting to give something back to the British Military and SO15 (Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism Unit) personnel who in, conducting or assisting Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and search duties, find themselves and their dependents in need of welfare support and financial assistance. They have and continue to sacrifice so much more than me and this is my way of thanking them for their service.
Felix Fund is a British military registered charity located in Didcot, OXON and was originally set up in 2011. Please help support these professional/retired service personnel who spend/spent endless hours on short notice standby in order to deploy anywhere in the UK or overseas to provide specialised support in searching for, rendering safe and disposing of any form of explosive hazard/or threat from the public domain.
Please donate whatever you can.
