Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

Once upon a time (well ten years ago) we got drunk and decided that it would be a great idea to do something epic to mark our 40th year! It turns out ten years goes quite quickly once you reach 30!

£7 per week for £7 years (after we ALL finally committed to the challenge) to start a 40th year fund which would hopefully be enough to get us to the Incan Empire of Machu Picchu... via a 26 mile walk beyond and altitude of 4000m and Dead Woman's Pass!

So here we are on the cusp of our adventure and asking you to support us by supporting the amazing charity that is MNDA.

This disease has impacted our lives, witnessing family or friends who have suffered with this most heartbreaking illness and more recently  our rugby league legend Rob Burrow. I think it is this that shocked us the most. Rugby League is a huge part of all of our lives and has been since birth so to see this take a hold on one of the greatest rugby league players of our generation is heartbreaking for all of the reasons imaginable.

We have trained as best as we can but nothing can really prepare you for the effects of altitude. We have done what we can and can do no more... we've huffed, puffed, laughed and cried, pushing each other to our limits and helping each other at our lowest points. Turns out there is always another top! So when we are feeling like we can't take one more step it will be your support that we will be chanelling and the courage of Rob and his family, friends and the immense spirit of our rugby league family that will keep us smiling and reaching for the toppest top of the top.

Sometimes our hardest times lead to the greatest moments!
