The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon 2014 · 12 October 2014 ·

1 in 2 people in London are unlikely to have a Christian friend who can invite them to church, give them a Bible or share the good news of Jesus.  So we equip local churches to step out in faith, build connections with the communities around them and lovingly share the message of Jesus Christ.

Story

Webber Street is an amazing place. They welcome up to 100 men and women a day to the centre and provide them with cooked breakfasts, hot showers and clothing, as well as access to a nurse, benefits advisor and other agencies. On top of this, there is opportunity for the guests to stay for a bible study and prayer. It is a special place because staff are committed to treating guests as Jesus would – with respect, dignity and care.                                                                                                                                      Jeremy, Joe, Phil and Wendy are members of Woodford Evangelical Church (WEC). The church has donated food and clothing to Webber Street over the years but for 2014 we were inspired to enter a team for this half marathon and raise money for Webber Street's fabulous work. Thank you for supporting us.
