Story
Why Pancreatic Cancer Action?
In 2019 my father in law, Jim Lynn, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and a mere 9 weeks later it took his life. The stealthy nature of this type of cancer meant that by the time there were outward signs of illness it was too late for treatment and far too soon Hazel lost her Dad and Irene lost her husband.
Any research that helps the early diagnosis or survival rate of this particular cancer can only be a good thing for all families that are affected by it now or may be in the future.
I have always thought if I'm going to ask people to part with their hard earned money to sponsor me then what I'm doing should push me beyond my norm.
As this run will be double my longest run to date then I think it qualifies as a personal challenge. 70 miles from Carlisle to Newcastle following the route of Hadrian's Wall.
