Weekites 1896 Challenge · 15 May 2021

The Meath offers a modern, progressive pathway of housing, care and support for people living with epilepsy and associated challenging disabilities. Providing access to a variety of skills training, sports and leisure activities, we enable people to live fulfilled lives as independently as possible.

Story

Over the weekend of the 15th and 16th of May, Weekites will be attempting in 24 hours “the 1896” challenge, named after the year Weekites was founded. The challenge involves the 59 members of the house collectively covering 1118.64km with an average of 18.96km each by running, cycling or rowing. We are raising money for the Meath Epilepsy Centre in Godalming, which has seen a fall in fundraising during the Covid-19 pandemic, and as a house we would like to support them through these especially tough times. Any sponsorship will be greatly appreciated for a very important cause.
