We are raising money for Community Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers (CARAS).

We chose to support CARAS as they believe that positively engaging with refugees settling in the UK is of fundamental importance. CARAS provide a support network and community that helps refugees feel welcome and safe.

Over the coming months we're hoping to raise over £3000 through a variety of activities.

The main activity we hope you will sponsor us for is walking the Yorkshire three peaks in March. This will be tough - 24-miles long, and 5,200ft (1,585m) of ascent. We have been training hard (see pictures below) but every penny donated will help carry us up (and down!) each of those peaks!

Other activities we have been a part of include organising Supper Clubs and I.T. Skills Workshops. 

The Supper Clubs were small dinner parties featuring recipes provided by some of the people CARAS have supported, with all proceeds going straight to CARAS. 

The I.T Workshops are an ongoing series of classes that are equipping young refugees with I.T skills that will help them flourish in the U.K. Topics being covered include Office functionality, Setting up your online presence and Internet Safety.
