DANCIN' DUSK TIL DUSK
Durham University's first 24 Hour Danceathon to start off DUCK week in style.
Friday 12th - Saturday 13th Feb 8pm-8pm
The welfare committee aim to dance for 24 hours in order to raise money for NSPCC's Childs Voice Appeal . The 24hours will be completed as long as one person from your group is always dancing.
" 1 in 3 calls to ChildLine and over a quarter of all calls to the NSPCC's Child Protection Helpline go unanswered due to a lack of funding. The Government have pledged £30m over three years to us, but only on the condition that the NSPCC raise an extra £50m in addition to our normal turnover.".
By dancing and raising sponsorship money we can help the NSPCC to be there for even more children who desperately need support and have nowhere else to turn. By DANCING we can HELP STOP CRUELTY TO CHILDREN. FULL STOP.
The event will include a live band, DJ, SILENT DISCO, on the evening of the 12th stretching to the morning of the 13th. During the day of the 13th an assortment of dance classes will be available.
