Well of Al- Hajj- Abdul Gofur

In loving memory of Al-Hajj Abdul Gofur, who passed away peacefully on19th November 2022, who we were so blessed to have as our  ‘Dad’. 

As you will be aware, Dad & I completed the construction of Masjid
Al-Ghafoor & Madrasha in March 2022 in Moyale a remote destitute
place in Africa. Dad was incredibly proud of of this project. There is no water in this region and the people have to travel 5 miles for water everyday. During my visit,, I committed to a water well/water dam which dad knew about and also wanted to be part of which would benefit around 8,000 people plus livestock. 

‘The best form of charity is to give someone water (to drink).’ (Ibn Majah)

I would like to invite you to support me to fulfill dads wish and continue his legacy of helping others and as a mean of Sadaqa
Jaariya in his name which will benefit dad in his grave. 

Our father was loved by many here and in Bangladesh. He was not only a husband, father and grandfather but a close friend to many. He was our hero and inspiration and the one person we and others would look to for advice. He was our Rock !

We deeply miss his presence, warmth, his cheeky smile and banter. 

Please ask Allah SWT that He fills our father's grave with the light of Jannah and let him rest peacefully till he meets our Lord. "Rabbir hum huma kama rabba yani sagheera"

On the authority of Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, ‘When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity), or
knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him’. [Muslim]
