Water Well Projects:The well foundation primary aim is to raise money to install Hand Pumps, Deep Bore wells, establish health & sanitation programmes to provide Safe, Clean Drinking Water for All. Clean, safe drinking water is scarce. Today, nearly 1 billion people in the developing world don't have access to it. Yet, we take it for granted, we waste it, and we even pay too much to drink it from little plastic bottles.Water is the foundation of life. And still today, all around the world, far too many people spend their entire day searching for it. If you want to build a water Well for a loved one who has passed away as Sadkha Jahri (On going rewards) or just for yourself. Well Foundation do 3 types of Water Wells:<ol class="x_ol1" style="color: rgb(32, 31, 30);text-align: left;"><li class="x_li1" style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69);">Tube/Hand Pumps, </li></ol>Access to safe drinking water can transform lives. The gift of a tube well will ensure that 3-4 families have access to clean water for drinking, washing and cooking. Tube wells are manually operated and can lift water from about 30 metres beneath the ground. They are designed to last at least 10 years and can be easily maintained by the beneficiary.The wells are located in convenient locations, often between a cluster of houses. Note: A well can take up to six weeks to complete as in some locations they can only be constructed during certain times of year, usual turnaround is 3 months. The gift of a Dig-a-Well can serve up to 600 / 800 people, providing access to clean water for drinking, washing and cooking, as well as keeping livestock hydrated. Dig-a-Wells are ideal for families who rely on agriculture and farming. The wells have mechanical hand pumps and draw water from up to 40 metres beneath the ground making them dependable during all seasons. Your Dig-a-Well will be situated in a communal place such as village centre, school or mosque.Projects can take 7/8 months as can only be built certain times in the year.Areas: Uganda £1500Gambia £1600Mali £2000Others on Request 3. Bore Wells: Access to clean water for small villages and communities can serve over 1000 people and are built in locations where Water is Scarce. These wells go from 15meters to 40meters into the ground and last over 15 - 20 years. Community Deep Bore Well:Access to clean water can transform the lives of a whole community. Community water wells can serve big villages and often people from near by villages use these wells also.They are often located in arid areas where water is particularly scarce. The wells are 1.5 meters wide and draw water from 50 metres or more beneath the ground, making them dependable during all seasons.
