Welsh 3000 ft Challenge · 5 June 2010
This summer 7 foolhardy medics will be attempting the Welsh 3000 Ft Challenge. This involves reaching the top of all the peaks in Wales over 3000 Ft. Thats 15 peaks, starting with Snowdon taking in 27 miles and over 3000 m of ascent.
Why? We will be raising money for the Ol Malo Eye Project (part of the Ol Malo Charitable Foundation). This project based in the Northern Laikipia region of Kenya provides the surgery and antibiotics required to treat trachoma.
Trachoma is the worlds leading cause of infective blindness and affect over 150 million people most of them children. Trachoma is endemic in the Samburu people of Northern Kenya. By supporting the project we will help save the sight of these people. Please donate what you can.
