Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This all started about this time last year when I saw photos of my then 10 year old grandson finishing the 5k colour run with his dad  and I thought, if Alfie can do it then his fat Granny can!

Well it has taken me almost 12 months to do the “9” week couch to 5k. But give me a break, I started out fat with arthritic knees and the worst side of 50 😳Now here I am today, 3 stone lighter, 1 year older and on a good day able to run for 30 minutest on the treadmill 👍🏻Although this started out as a personal goal I realise that it’s not all about me, so I will run, jog, walk or crawl my way around saville park but promise to get to the end along with my grandson Alfie (now11)

I am grateful for the help and encouragement of my daughter Amy Wood who has supported me with the “you can do it Mum!” Even when The Ibuprofen couldn’t. She deserves the sponsors too.

I therefore dedicate this run to my beautiful friend Lorraine who was cared for by this wonderful hospice before her onward journey.
