Well most people who know me do think that I am slightly crazy anyway so I thought what the hell lets climb Kili!!

Seriously though, how did this start for me. Switched on my computer at work one day as I normally do and staring me in the face was CLIMB KILIMANJARO. For days I kept staring at it thinking, WOW, how great would that be but could I, should I????

I found out that a couple of other people I knew had registered and went home and before I lost my nerve, did it! No turning back now! October 2013 Kili and me its a date!

Elise for Life is a charity set up by a lady called Elise who worked for Barclays Bank (who I work for by the way) and tragically passed away after a 9 month battle with melanoma. She was just 37 years old. Mark Roberts (her husband) has been continuing the charity she set up ever since looking to raise as much money as possible towards the fight against not only Melanoma but also towards the amazing work the hospital where Elise was treated does. The Christie is one of the top 3 Cancer hospitals in Europe and has the largest clinical trials unit in the world!!!! 

The positive impact we can all have on patients and their families lives is unquestionable!!

I don't know many people who have not been effected by cancer in some way and the horrible truth is if you haven't  you probably will be at some point!

I have lost customers and close family members from 27 years old to people in their 70's but I have also got people who have had, fought and survived cancer because of the wonderful treatment and developments in treatment we keep making!!

So my BIG ask is that you PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE donate NOW, not tomorrow or nearer the time ( because that will make me sweat!) but NOW. What ever you are able to give £1 that you were going to buy the lottery ticket with or £2 because its friday. Give up a packet of cigarettes £7. Cinema £10. You get the picture. Barclays will be matching up to £2250 so help me get the bank to give back too! Thanks Barclays
