On Saturday 5th November our son Jack was walking his Girlfriend to the bus stop and tragically slipped and hit his head on the pavement. He was taken by Air Ambulance to St. Georges Hospital in London, where a team of Neuro Surgeons were waiting to try and save his life. Jack never recovered and on Monday 7th November at 2.17am with our hearts broken, we said goodbye to him.
Back in 2014 Jack made the brave decision to register as an organ donor. Even though Jack's life was unable to be saved if it wasn't for the work of the Air Ambulance and it's crew it would not have been possible for organ donation to take place. Within 2 and a half hours of his passing it gave us great comfort to know that his lungs had been successfully transplanted and saved the life of another. We await the final confirmation in about 4 weeks of how many people Jack has managed to help.
So we ask each of you to join us in supporting this life-saving charity that relies almost entirely on voluntary donations.
